Is There Still a Place for Blogging in the Age of AI?

With AI dominating conversations everywhere... in the news, in boardrooms, in classrooms, even in casual chats, I’ve been thinking about something that hits a bit closer to home:

What’s the future of blogging?

AI is literally everywhere now. It’s powering education, transforming healthcare, changing the economy, and redefining how we work, earn, and even think. It feels like we’re on the edge of a revolution — and honestly, it’s both exciting and a little overwhelming.

So here I am, wondering…
Is it still worth starting a blog in a world where AI can answer anything in 0.0001 seconds?

I’m not trying to be dramatic, it’s a genuine question I’ve been sitting with.

Why Write When AI Can Do It Better?

I’ve been meaning to blog for a while now, but the more AI evolves, the more I hesitate. I mean, why would someone read a random guy’s blog post when they can just ask an AI to summarize, explain, or rewrite anything they want in seconds?

It makes me feel like I’m already late to the game.
Late to the party.
Maybe even irrelevant before I begin.

But Maybe… There’s More to Blogging Than Answers

Maybe I’m thinking too narrowly. Maybe blogging was never really about having the best answer. Maybe it’s about sharing perspectives, experiences, voices, and imperfections.

AI is fast and brilliant, no doubt. But it doesn’t have my story.
It doesn’t have your story.
It doesn’t know what it feels like to be a 30-year-old Malaysian, sitting at night, staring at a blinking cursor, wondering if your thoughts are worth putting out there.

Blogging might not be the fastest way to get information anymore, but maybe it’s one of the last few ways to truly connect.

So… Is There a Future?

Honestly, I don’t know. I’m still figuring it out.

But here’s what I do know: writing helps me think. It helps me feel seen. It helps me articulate the chaos in my mind, little by little. So even if nobody reads this, even if it’s just for me.. maybe that’s enough.

Maybe the future of blogging isn’t about mass attention anymore.
Maybe it’s about meaning.

What Do You Think?

Do you still read blogs?
Do you believe personal writing still matters in this AI-saturated world?
I’d love to hear your thoughts, if you’re out there, reading this.

Let’s figure it out together.
